There are a variety of cats out there, each with their own unique characteristics and quirks. From fluffy to slender, hyper to lethargic, cats can come in all shapes and sizes, and each one is perfect just the way they are. Meet Barnaby, our featured feline today. This Persian cat is known for his melancholic eyes, perpetual frown, and love of sleep, clocking in about 20 hours a day. You know that saying “turn that frown upside down?” Well, Barnaby’s smile is actually upside down. Despite leading a content life, he appears to be a gloomy, apathetic aristocat. It’s tough being a house cat, and only fellow felines can truly understand the struggles. While some may view his facial expression as monotonous, Barnaby can actually pull off a variety of looks. He can perfectly imitate the “I woke up at 6 am” look, the “I’ve been sleeping for two decades and still want more” look, the classic “bad hair day” look, and the ever-popular “please give me attention” look. Check out his Instagram for more glimpses into this unique cat’s life!
Meet Barnaby, the quiet and solitary feline who enjoys being caressed only on his own terms. He has a penchant for long naps and lounging in various spots around the house. Eating is also one of his favorite pastimes, as he is just your average cat. Surprisingly, Barnaby is more relatable than most people would imagine!

The owner of Barnaby recently shared some interesting facts about his beloved feline with Bored Panda. According to them, Barnaby will be turning five in May and was the only cat in their household for a while, until they welcomed his little sister last year (unfortunately, Barnaby wasn’t too thrilled about it). They also revealed that Barnaby is quite the spoiled kitty, enjoying an impressive 20 hours of sleep per day. In fact, he loves napping on his mom’s chair during the day so much that she has to sit on the floor if she wants to sit down! However, Barnaby is a bit picky about when he receives pets – only accepting them when he’s in the mood. Despite all of this, his owners absolutely adore him.
