During my stroll with my furry companion, I suddenly heard a faint meowing sound emanating from the nearby woods. Upon investigation, I found a small kitten who was desperately seeking attention. Despite trying to lure her to come closer to me, she remained hesitant and aloof. Consequently, I had to enlist the help of my mother who arrived with some food and my brother. Fortunately, my brother was able to catch her eventually. We were unsure if she would survive due to her exceedingly gaunt appearance, where every bone was palpable. Before taking the kitten, we made sure to check with the neighbor if it belonged to her. She informed us that the kitten actually came from a stray cat near her father’s house, which was around 24 miles away from where we found the kitten. Apparently, the kitten had accidentally gotten into a compartment in someone’s truck bed and ran off into the woods once they arrived at the neighbor’s house. This happened two weeks before we stumbled upon the adorable little kitten.
Quincy was given her name based on her place of origin and was lucky enough to find a permanent home after her brother fell in love with her.
