Stray Cat Interrupts Prayer Service And Demands Attention From Monk

Cats are known as independent and aloof creatures, but they can exhibit attention-seeking behavior sometimes. They also crave attention and love, and they will do anything to get what they want.

A group of Buddhist monks at Wat Udomrangsi, a temple on the edge of Bangkok, Thailand, were holding a religious service when a tabby cat decided to interrupt the prayer time and forced monks to pay attention to her.

As you could see in the video, the cat took on the stage and then crawled into the lap of a monk named Luang Pi Komkrit Taechachoto who was praying. The monk gently tried to push away the cat, but she continued to beg for some cuddles from him and refused to leave.

The battle of them caught the attention of the senior monk at Komkrit’s side. In the end, though, even he couldn’t help but chuckle. He lost the battle and accepted the kitty. He even gave her some pets and snuggles.

“I was trying to read the book. But I was more focused on the cat,” Komkrit admitted.

Although the cat was not an official guest of the prayer service, everyone felt even more blessed that she decided to take part.
